Webcast 010 | Europe’s bulls and Asia’s bears | 27th March 2014

In this webcast, Rebecca Harding argues that geopolitical risk has affected global markets this month and that it is dampening our expectations of trade for 2014. She argues that the current volatility in markets is threatening growth in Asia and Latin America and while the forecast for Europe’s trade looks better than last quarter, the picture for North American exports has deteriorated. At present, the key uncertainties in markets are caused by the situation in the Ukraine, but an underlying threat of global deflation alongside continuing uncertainties in the Middle East mean that we think markets are likely to be very volatile in April.
