In the wake of the financial and economic crises and the failure of the Copenhagen climate talks to reach a binding agreement between countries on tackling climate change, the world faces some stark choices about how business and finance will shape a sustainable future.  Entrepreneurs as change agents will lead the way in creating new and innovative ways of dealing with the economic, environmental and social challenges that the world faces.  The key to enabling entrepreneurs to fulfil this potential rests on action-oriented networks and access to finance. The World Entrepreneur Society is recognised as the international forum for connecting people across the enterprise spectrum.

Following on from our two successful global Summits in 2008 and 2009, the World Entrepreneur Society is proud to be partnering with the City Research and Enterprise Unit (CRUE) and Cass Business School who are at the cutting edge for entrepreneurial research and development globally.  Their unparalleled practice-based insights will ensure that the Summit in 2010 yields real network and business results for everyone who attends.

The 2010 event will focus on environmental entrepreneurship and the role that appropriate finance can play in fuelling growth and sustainable development so that the world emerges from the fall-out of the last two years with a positive and energised model that has entrepreneurs and enterprise at its heart.

The two days of this event will have:

• Inspiration: insight from some of the world’s thought leaders in the area of finance and environmental entrepreneurship; a cross between “Dragon’s Den” and “Big Brother”  profiling winners of the CRUE business plan competition and allowing you to vote on who should have investments: “How to do it” presentations from leading global entrepreneurs and finance specialists and a Gala Dinner with a well-known and visionary speaker.
• Creative conversations: growth mentoring workshops, seminars, open-space events, networking and dialogue time for you to build sustainable partnerships with key players in your sector.
• Concerted action: speed networking and speed pitching; exhibitions and a unique online and on-the-day system to connect you with the people you want to meet combined with space and time for you to meet them.
