HSBC Business of Recovery Report

HSBC commissioned a report from Delta Economics based on COGS data, lending data, consumer confidence data and qualitative interviews to look at the way in which entrepreneurs in the UK are leading the way out of recession.  It finds that although turnovers across the board in the UK's entrepreneurial sector have been slashed by as much as 18.5% on average, there are signs that demand for finance is beginning to pick up and that we might indeed be beginning the long journey to recovery.

Although subsequent events have seen that assessment revised, the research gave clear suggestions according to the data available. Indeed, as it had elements of forecasting, there has been interest in conducting similar and longer term forecasts to gain a Market Advantage from Delta Economics's Market Intelligence and Data Extrapolation Capacity.
